Groupon FAQs
Dear Groupon students,
Welcome to Unity Woods Yoga Center! We’re glad you purchased a Groupon to drop into our classes. Here are answers to frequently asked questions. You may also want to read our page on How to Be Prepared. If you have further questions, please call us at 301-656-8992.
For which classes may I use my Groupon?
Groupons may be used for the following:
- Introductory Series (four week short course)
- Yoga I/II Mini-Session (four week short course)
- Gentle I
- Gentle II
- Yoga I
- Yoga I/II
- Seniors’ Yoga
- Back Care Yoga
- Yoga & Meditation
- Teen Yoga
- Restorative Yoga
Your Groupon may not be used for Pranayama classes (breath work) or for upper level asana classes (Yoga Level II or higher).
We highly recommend that if you are new to Iyengar Yoga you first try our Introductory Series (a four-week course) or our Yoga I or Yoga I/II classes. We offer a number of four-week short courses for beginners and intermediate students that will be ideal for Groupon students.

Do I need to pre-register for the class I want to attend?
You don’t need to call ahead or pre-register for the course you want to attend, just come when it’s convenient for you.
How will you handle my Groupon the first time I come?
The first time you come to one of our locations, we will exchange your Groupon for four theater-style tickets. You then need to bring one ticket with you each time you drop in, to show that your class was pre-paid using a Groupon. Hang onto those tickets! We can’t replace them if you lose them.
Can I use my Groupon at multiple locations?
Yes, absolutely! You are welcome to drop in to a class at our Woodley Park location one time, and then try a class at our Ballston studio the next time. We encourage you to try different locations and classes to find what works for you.

Can I use a Groupon if I am a registered student at Unity Woods?
No, the Groupons are for students who are new to Unity Woods. If you purchased a Groupon in error, you may give or sell your coupon to a friend.
When does my Groupon expire?
Groupons will expire at the end of our Summer session, on September 11, 2011.
